We pride ourselves on employing only degreed engineers. Our staff has over 60 years of combined engineering experience. The qualifications for each member of our team is listed below.

Richard L. Coombs, Principal

Richard (Rick) Coombs has worked as a design engineer for more than twenty-five years. He has experience in designing successful products in the petroleum and commercial appliance industries.

Rick has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and an Associate in Electrical Engineering Technology. He has patents in most of the industries he has worked in.

Tyler N. Clements, M.S.M.E

Tyler Clements has worked as a mechanical designer for over seven years. He has extensive experience in product design and has specialized in computer controlled mechanical systems.

Tyler has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boise State University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. His research emphasized the fields of Mechatronics and Autonomous System Control.

Jerry D. Coombs, P.E.

Jerry D. Coombs has work in the structural engineering field for over twenty-five years. He has extensive knowledge in buildings, retaining walls, civil structures, and residences using wood, concrete, steel, and masonry. He is familiar with most building codes and major design guides. Jerry has provided services for design, construction administration, design reviews, and value engineering. He has provided reports for expert testimony and insurance; and forensic assessments for due diligence and failures.

Jerry has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master in Business Administration. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Texas. He has served on the Board of Directors for several professional organizations, and as a member on an ACI Code Committee.
